USHTA and ESI Contribute to Award-Winning Restoration of the Thomas House, Cathedral and John Connon School

We at USHTA and ESI are honored to have contributed to the restoration of the Thomas House, part of the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai, which has recently received the prestigious International Award for Restoration/Renovation from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.

Presented in collaboration with The European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and Metropolitan Arts Press, Ltd., this award recognizes outstanding achievements in global architecture and urban planning.

This recognition holds special significance as Thomas House is the only project from India to be honored in this category.

Earlier this year, the Thomas House restoration project also received the 11th All India Stone Architectural Award (AISAA) 2023 and the AD100 Award of Excellence 2024, further underscoring its architectural and conservation excellence.

We are proud to have played a role in preserving this iconic heritage structure, reflecting our shared commitment to engineering integrity, craftsmanship, and cultural preservation.
